MFD Extinguishes Kula House Fire

Maui firefighters were called to reports of a house fire on Ho‘opalua Drive in Kula at 12:34 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

Crews from Makawao, Kula and Kahului responded.

On scene, personnel found a single-story home with a portion of its roof on fire.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and confirm everyone had safely evacuated the structure.

There are no injuries to report and total damages are estimated at $29,000. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
