Hawaiʻi State Federal Credit Union celebrated the grand reopening of its new Kahului Branch on Maui on Saturday with a blessing ceremony and in-branch festivities.

Located at the Pu‘unene Shopping Center, Hawaiʻi State FCU’s new Kahului Branch is more than double the size of its former Triangle Square location and has expanded hours of operation.

To commemorate the grand reopening, Hawaiʻi State FCU presented a $2,500 check donation to the Maui Food Bank.

The 2,700-square-foot branch features a full-service teller lobby, one conference room, five private offices for one-on-one confidential meetings, and a check/cash deposit-enabled ATM both inside and outside the branch. The Kahului Branch offers a full range of products and financial services for personal and business banking, including retirement planning and investment services.

“Responding to the needs of our members is a top priority for Hawaiʻi State FCU,” said Andrew Rosen, president and CEO of Hawaiʻi State FCU. “A common concern we heard from our members on Maui was the lack of available parking at our former location. By moving to Pu‘unene Shopping Center, we’ve increased in size and can now offer ample customer parking.

We look forward to serving the Maui community at what we anticipate will soon be one of the island’s most frequented retail centers.”

Hawaiʻi State FCU opened its former Triangle Square location in 2008, becoming the credit union’s first neighbor island branch and the fastest growing of all credit unions on Maui in terms of membership and loan growth. The new Pu‘unene Shopping Center location will continue to serve the Maui community with more space and extended hours of operation.

Hawaiʻi State FCU’s Kahului Branch will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hawaiʻi State FCU membership is open to all active and retired employees of the State of Hawaiʻi, City and County of Honolulu and Maui County. In addition, there are more than 300 local organizations and businesses that can qualify individuals to become credit union members.
