Sheraton Maui Names Director of Event Management

Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa has appointed Jason Uemura as the resort’s new Director of Catering and Event Management.

Uemura will oversee the resort’s catering and event services and be responsible for driving revenue, new business development, and achieving guest and employee satisfaction.

“We are thrilled to have him join the Sheraton Maui ‘ohana as we continue our efforts to provide seamless service while executing unparalleled experiences for our guests,” said Mike Masterson, director of sales and marketing for Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.

Uemura began his career with Marriott/Kyoya at sister property, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani as a Guest Service Manager.  He went on to the Sheraton Waikīkī as a Guest Service Manager.

In 2016, Uemura was then promoted to a Meetings and Events Manager for the Waikīkī Complex–Sheraton Waikīkī, The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort and the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani.

He began his new assignment on May 2, 2019.
