New Executive Director of Maui AIDS Foundation

Maui AIDS Foundation announces Chasity Cadaoas as its new Executive Director effective June 3, 2019.

Cadaoas, who previously served as Director of Prevention/Lab Services, succeeds Interim Executive Director Keoni Kuoha. She is the first woman to serve in the position.

“I’m excited to see Chasity move into this new role within Maui AIDS Foundation,” said Kuoha. “She has long demonstrated poised leadership, deep community collaboration, and inspirational strength during her previous roles with us. After weighing the present needs and future directions of our organization, I know that the Board of Directors chose the best candidate to be our new Executive Director.”

“Mahalo nui loa to Keoni and our Board members for the dedication and endless hours devoted to this transitional process,” said Cadaoas. “I am honored and grateful for this opportunity to serve our agency in a different capacity, and I look forward to moving together into this new era with the staff and Maui County ohana at large.”

Maui AIDS Foundation also announces Ricky Jones as the new Director of Prevention/Lab Services and Josef Robinson, RN, as a new Medical Case Manager, along with the departures of two long-time employees, Patient/Client Coordinator Frank Wolfe and Director of Finance Walter Murphy.

Jones, a regular performer in the Maui theatre community, joins the Maui AIDS Foundation with many years of work experience in the non-profit, youth development, and human services sectors. Robinson brings several years of experience as a registered nurse into his new position working in the Client Services Department.

After five years, Wolfe leaves his duties working at the front desk and as the in-house tech support and donor data manager. Meanwhile, Murphy leaves after 11 years of accomplishments in the Accounting Department.

Today, along with Federally-funded case management services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, the organization provides free and confidential testing for HIV, hepatitis C, syphilis and chlamydia/gonorrhea by appointment at (808) 242-4900. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
