Maui Crime Sept. 1-7, 2019: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 11 burglaries, 10 vehicle thefts and 10 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Sept. 1 to 7, 2019.

Burglaries were down -8% from the week before when 12 incidents were reported over the seven day period. Vehicle thefts were down -9% from the week before when 11 incidents occurred; and vehicle break-ins were down -63% from the week before when 27 incidents were reported.

11 Burglaries

Haʻikū:

• Wednesday, Sept. 4, 4:09 p.m.: 100 block of Nahele Road, Haʻikū. Non-residential, unlawful entry.

Hāna:

• Thursday, Sept. 5, 10:47 a.m.: 47200 block of Hāna Highway, Hāna. Residential, forced entry.

Kahului:

• Tuesday, Sept. 3, 9:48 a.m.: 100 block of Paʻahana Street, Kahului. Non-residential, forced entry.

Kīhei:

• Wednesday, Sept. 4, 10:11 p.m.: 100 block of Mehani Circle, Kīhei. Residential, unlawful entry.
• Thursday, Sept. 5, 6 a.m.: 25 West Līpoa Street, Kīhei at St. Theresa Church. Non-residential, unlawful entry.
• Thursday, Sept. 5, 11:28 a.m.: 51 East Līpoa Stree, Kīhei at Kīhei Kwikstop. Non-residential, unlawful entry.
