Holiday Pet Adoption and Wellness Fair This Weekend
The Maui Humane Society hosts a Holiday Pet Adoption and Wellness Fair this Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Maui Humane Society in Puʻunēnē.
The fair will include the following services: Vaccine clinic and microchips for dogs and cats, and nail trims for dogs. Services will be available by donation made to the Maui Humane Society on the day of the event.
*Note that all dogs should be on leashes and all cats should be transported in secure carriers. All animals should be healthy and at least eight weeks old.
Dog license renewals will also be available for $11 for spayed/neutered dogs.
Subaru Hawaiʻi will also be sponsoring an all-day adoption event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. All prospective adopters are asked to bring a donation of a much needed item for the shelter animals including pet food, beds, leashes and treats. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Once a donation is made, adopters will be able to receive a sponsored adoption, courtesy of Subaru Hawaiʻi. This offer is good on Saturday, Nov. 16 only.
Santa “Paws” Claus will also be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for holiday pet photos, with a suggested minimum donation is $10 per photo.
Maui Cookie Labs will also be selling “fresh-from the oven” classic cookies as well as their signature Pup Cakes for dogs. 50% of all Pup Cake sales will be donated back to MHS.
”We are thrilled to be able to provide these much needed services to our community, especially during the holiday season,” said Steve MacKinnon, CEO, Maui Humane Society. “We appreciate the support we receive throughout the year and this is our way of giving back to our community.”
