A flood watch has been extended until this afternoon for all Hawaiian Islands, as an upper level low remains stationary over the western portion of the island chain.

The system will eventually move east, producing unstable conditions and bringing the potential for locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding, according to the National Weather Service.

As a precaution, the public is advised to to cross fast flowing water in their vehicle or on foot.

According to the extended NWS forecast, the airmass will stabilize Wednesday, but a showery wet trade wind pattern is expected to hold through the weekend. The NWS says breezy to windy conditions are expected Thursday through Saturday.
