This Sunday, a convoy of cyclists will embark on a 60 mile trek around the famed West Maui Mountains in an effort to raise funds for children in need.

All proceeds from the inaugural Pedal Imua Benefit Ride will go to Dream Imua, a program that grants child-directed “dream days” to children in crisis or who have experienced life altering circumstances.

The ride will begin at 7 a.m. at the War Memorial special events lawn, travel clockwise around the mountain, and will return around noon.

Motorists are asked to practice caution, as nearly 100 cyclists are expected to participate. Riders will be on the right side of the road.

A Pedal Imua event will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature performances by the Old Lahaina Lūʻau as well as kid’s activities, sponsor booths, prize drawings, food and beverage trucks.
