LIST: Maui Road Closures This Week

Here is a list of lane closures slated for Dec. 28 to Jan. 3:

— HĀNA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 36/360) —

1) WAILUA VALLEY (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in the northbound direction in the vicinity of the Wailua Valley State Wayside on Saturday, Dec. 28, through Friday, Jan. 3, over a 24-hour period, for soil nail installation. No work on Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.

2) HAʻIKŪ (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in the northbound direction in the vicinity of Papaʻaʻea Road on Saturday, Dec. 28, through Friday, Jan. 3, over a 24-hour period, for retaining wall work. No work on Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.

3) PĀʻIA

Shoulder closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) in the westbound direction between Alawai Road and Ulupua Place on Monday, Dec. 30, through Friday, Jan. 3, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m for construction of bike path and bridge work. Additionally, the westbound lane will be closed on Friday morning, Jan. 3, from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. No work on Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.

The state transportation departmentʻs Holiday Lane Closure Restriction is in place through Jan. 2. Shoulder closures and other closures needed for operational safety are permitted to occur during this time.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
