The request for proposals is designated as RFP 19-20/P-116. It was released on Jan. 16.

This RFP seeks to upgrade legacy electric vehicle charging infrastructure at its EV Ohana sites, as well as to deploy additional public EV chargers at other selected county-owned sites.

Officials say the upgrades will help Maui County accelerate its efforts to achieve its goal of 100 percent clean ground transportation by 2045.
