10 Recruits Join the Ranks of Maui Police Department

89th Recruit Class graduation (2.14.20) PC: Maui Police Department.

Ten individuals joined the ranks of the Maui Police Department as the members of the 89th Recruit Class took their professional oaths during a graduation ceremony held Friday, Feb. 14, at the King Kamehameha Golf Club in Waikapū.

During the graduation ceremony, recruit Jensen Somera received the department’s Outstanding Recruit Award.

Other awards were issued to the following Officers:

Ten Recruits completed eight months of intense physical and academic training before graduating and receiving their badges. The new officers are: Brittany Basso; Tyler Bersamin; Skylar Falite; Riley Johnson; Jaryn Kuhaulua-Feiteira; Kameryn Pupunu; Marcus Range; Jensen Somera; and Fredrick Welch IV.
