The Valley Isle Keiki Fest that was scheduled to take place on April 11, 2020, has been cancelled due to growing concerns of COVID-19.

“It is with great sadness that we have come to a decision to cancel,” organizers Sheri Yamamoto and Jan Shishido with the Kiwanis Club of the Valley Isle said in an email announcement.  The two said the committee met last night and came to the decision, “for the safety of our children and community.”

“Thank you for your continued support of our event and we hope to see you next year on April 10th, 2021,” organizers said.

The annual Valley Isle Keiki Fest is traditionally held on the Great Lawn of the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College campus.  The UH system announced plans to move classes online starting at the conclusion of spring break.  More on that story here.
