Maui Air Arrivals Slow to 74; Statewide Arrivals Drop to 826

On Sunday, 826 people arrived in Hawaiʻi on the fourth day of the state’s 14-day mandatory self-quarantine for all incoming passengers, according to information compiled by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority.

Maui had a total of 74 passengers arriving on the Valley Isle on 10 flights, including 42 crew members, 21 residents and 11 visitors, according to new numbers compiled by the HTA.

In Līhue on Kauaʻi, there were 17 arrivals–10 of them crew, 7 residents and no visitors.

In Kona on Hawaiʻi Island, total arrivals were 73 passengers with 26 crew members, 35 residents and 12 visitors.

Of the 826 people arriving in Hawaiʻi, 167 people were visitors. Most of the passengers were either returning residents (325) or crew members (229).

In comparison, during this same time last year, more than 30,000 passengers arrived in Hawaiʻi daily, including residents and visitors.
