Doctors On Call Maui is offering video-visit telemedicine appointments to patients by phone or video from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily, seven days a week, the Maui urgent care clinic announced.

Dr. Norman Estin, co-founder and Medical Director of Doctors On Call said, “This is a great chance for us to take care of patients quickly and efficiently without having them come out of their home and into an doctors office or clinic waiting room.”

Physicians can offer advice, diagnose, treat and call in prescriptions.

Doctors On Call estimates that 80-90% of medical care can be done on-line, from the comfort of a home, office or any smartphone.

Specific instructions for any patient regardless of their insurance plan are available online at DocMaui.com.

All local insurances cover the telemedicine video-visits, and the self-pay cost is $49, according to Doctors On Call.

“We are actually able to offer telemedicine to the entire state, but of course our primary focus is getting easy online care to all Maui residents,” said Estin. “We are working to have it all covered by the other insurance carriers as well, like Medicare and hopefully Kaiser.”
