June 5, 1929 – April 12, 2020
Ramona “Mona” Brown passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Hospice Maui Hale. She was 90 years of age.
She was born on June 5, 1929 to Nancy Keualani and Kenichi Maeda. She married James Nicholas Brown and together raised three sons, James ‘Jimmy’ (Twyllah) Brown, Clement (Virginia) Brown and Patrick Brown.
Ramona is preceded in death by her husband James N. Brown and oldest son James ‘Jimmy’ Brown.
She is survived by her brother Clement (Helen) Maeda of Kihei, sons Clement and Patrick, her granddaughters, Nichole (Rich) Barcus, Noelani (Alan Kennedy) Brown, her great grandchildren, Alexia Barcus, Richard Barcus III, Jackson Barcus, Kayla Kennedy and Taylor Kennedy. As well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
In her earlier years she worked picking pineapple at Maui Pine, as a CNA at Hale Makua and custodian for the County of Maui at Eddie Tam Memorial Center.
She loved working in her yard, caring for her plants and flowers as well as crocheting leis of unique designs. She also enjoyed playing Wheel of Fortune during her Las Vegas visits, watching shows such as “America Says”, “Family Feud” and beating her family at rummy. Mona was loved more than words can express.
A private viewing will be held at Norman’s Mortuary on April 24th with a burial service immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery in Makawao at 12 p.m.
A celebration of life will be planned for some time in the future.

February 26, 1954 – April 13, 2020
Beverly Margo Ku’ulei “Cookie” Cockett, 66 of Kahului, Maui passed away on April 13, 2020 at home peacefully, after a prolong battle against cancer. She was born Feb. 26, 1954 in Wailuku, Maui to Lawrence “Duna” and Helen Cockett.
She is predeceased by her parents, Lawrence “Duna” and Helen Cockett and youngest brother, Major Cockett.
She is survived by her hanai daughter Starrlynn “Lokelani” Manini, her only sister Jackie (Henry deceased) Sacapanio, brothers, Mackie, Pat (Dawn), Bryon (Linda) and Benjamin (Tami). She also leaves behind 2 hanai granddaughters Danielle and Daniella Tolentino, 2 god Children Abbey Kanoa and Jerry Sacapanio, 8 nephews, 3 nieces, 4 grand nephews, 9 grand nieces, 1 great grandnephew, numerous extended family and countless hanai family.
Cookie lived her life to serve her God and his flock. She was loved by many and her life should be celebrated and remembered as one of love, devotion and a tireless commitment and sacrifice to make the lives around her better.

October 8, 1950 – April 17, 2020
Frank James Beauchamp, 69, of Makawao, Maui, passed away on April 17, 2020. He was born on Oct. 8, 1950, in Seattle, Washington.
Private services will be held.
Frank is survived by his wife, Lynn Beauchamp; son, Jonathan (Sarah) Beauchamp; siblings, Mark (Josepha) Beauchamp, and Gary (Maz) Beauchamp.
January 12, 1970 – April 18, 2020
Bobby Pin–our inspiring, amusing, loving friend–died on 18 April 2020 in Maui Memorial Hospital of COVID-19. He put up a 4-week fight, with friends and family making heroic efforts to obtain treatments for his disease. He is survived by his loving parents Vin and Loeuy Pin, his sister Mai, his younger brother Paul, his nephew Zachary and niece Chloe in Michigan, his many relatives worldwide, and his partner of 10 years, Daniel Rex Greening. He just turned 50 in Jan. 2020.
Bobby was a force of nature. He produced several short films, created mixed media and performance art, produced many gorgeous portraits and photographs, worked many film festivals, and helped manage the Burning Man documentation team.
Bobby loved travel and life. He was an advanced scuba diver, with over 150 dives in Hawaiʻi, Cuba, Fiji, Philippines, and Indonesia. He visited geysers and glaciers in New Zealand, the Louvre and Disney in Paris, tapas and sushi in Seville, an ice skating rink and plays in London. He was most recently a resident of Stockholm, Sweden, and has lived in Seattle, California, Utah, and Michigan.
Bobby was iconic. His infectious laugh and hilarious antics warmed people’s hearts. His hair has been many colors, most recently blue. Ganesh, the Hindu “remover of obstacles” and party animal, was tattooed on his arm.
Memorial services for Bobby will be held when it is safe to travel and congregate, likely in Maui, Detroit and other locations.
We are all sad in Bobby’s passing. Let this memorial help you and others live longer, happier lives. Keep loved ones safe, by respecting travel, social, and shopping restrictions. Reach out to people and tell them you love them. Think about friends who may be lonely in this challenging time, and use video calling and conferencing to bring them closer.
Bobby Pin was and remains our inspiration to live life deeply and lovingly.
Sarah Angel
December 18, 1920 – April 21, 2020
Sarah Agnes Angel, 99, of Kailua Kona, died April 21, 2020, in Kailua Kona. She was born Dec. 18, 1920, in Michigan. Sarah served our Country in the Army and worked as a Registered Nurse.
She is survived by sons Jack (Audrey) Angel of Durham, California; Sam (Cassie) Angel of Greenville, California; daughters Judy (Tom) Migliori of Kailua Kona; Patty (Paul) Lauffer of Chico, California; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren
