640 Passengers Arrive in Hawai‘i Thursday

Yesterday a total of 640 people arrived in Hawai‘i including 166 visitors and 196 residents. There was a total of 14 arriving flights. Maui had no trans-Pacific flights on Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Thursday marked five weeks since the state’s mandatory 14-day self-quarantine started for all passengers arriving in Hawai‘i from out of state.

The state’s mandatory 14-day self-quarantine started on March 26th for all passengers arriving in Hawaiʻi from out of state. The quarantine order was expanded on April 1st to include interisland travelers.

Crew = flight crew members
Intended Resident = people who are moving to Hawaiʻi such as military members and their families, and former residents who intend to live in Hawaiʻi
Resident = people who have a Hawaiʻi ID
Transit = people who are in transit to another location through Hawaiʻi and aren’t leaving the airport
Visitor = people who do not have a Hawaiʻi ID including essential health care workers, essential federal workers, former residents such as mainland college students coming to stay with family, military on temporary assignment, and leisure travelers.

INTERISLAND AIRPORT ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES FOR APRIL 28, 2020

DBEDT is reporting the following interisland passenger numbers for Hawai‘i airports for Wednesday, April 28, 2020. (Interisland data is delayed compared to state numbers, which are more current).

Of the 141 interisland passengers that arrived at Kahului Airport on Maui, 125 were from O‘ahu, eight were from Moloka‘i, seven were from Kona and 1 was from Waimea. Of the 24 passengers that arrived at Moloka‘i Airport, 17 were from O‘ahu and 7 were from Maui.  Of the 4 passengers that arrived at Lāna‘i Airport, one was from O‘ahu and 3 were from Maui.
