Effective May 26, 2020, Maui County Federal Credit Union (FCU)’s Kahului branch at Maui Marketplace will reopen, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Lahaina branch will go back to its normal hours of operation: Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Earlier this month, the Wailuku branch resumed normal hours of operation Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In alignment with the State’s “Act With Care” orders, members are encouraged to continue using Maui County FCU’s free online banking and mobile app to deposit checks, make a loan payment, check balances and transfer funds at any time from the comfort of home.

“Other changes that our members will continue seeing are the requirement for face masks to be worn by members and employees. Although members will be asked to briefly remove their masks for identification purposes, protective Plexiglas partitions have been installed in front of all member facing employees,” said Maui County Federal Credit Union President and CEO, Gary Fukuroku.

Maui County FCU precautions include:

  • Creating more space between member service representatives by opening every other teller window at branches
  • Providing Plexiglas shields for member facing employees
  • Limiting members in our branches to ensure that members are physically distanced at least six feet apart while in line or at an ATM
  • Requiring all members and employees to wear masks in public spaces
  • Requesting that individuals call for new account, loan, and notary appointments
  • High touch surfaces are wiped down frequently
  • Holding meetings virtually instead of in-person
  • Employees’ workspaces have been modified to be at least six feet apart from each other

Fukuroku extended thanks to members for their patience and understanding; and employees for their ability to meet ongoing changes needed to ensure the health and safety of members.

“We stand with our Maui County community and are here to support the financial needs of our members in whatever way we can, including loan deferrals and disaster relief loans,” said Fukuroku.
