Hawaiʻi Business Roundtable donates $40K to the American Red Cross of Hawaiʻi

The American Red Cross of Hawaiʻi continues work in the aftermath of the Maui wildfires to provide service to those impacted by the disaster. Organization leaders say they have been able to do so thanks to donations from generous partners and community members like the Hawaiʻi Business Roundtable, who recently contributed $40,000 to relief efforts. 

900 Lahaina wildfire survivors get early holiday surprise at school

Children and staff of Princess Nahiʻenaʻena Elementary School and Kamehameha III Elementary were treated to a Lahaina Toy Surprise and Delight event on Wednesday. The event aimed to bring joy to families impacted by the Lahaina wildfires and create a Winter Wonderland filled with surprises and delights for students and staff.

State Farm designates $100,000 for Maui wildfire relief

State Farm donated nearly $500,000 to support multiple Convoy of Hope disaster preparedness and response efforts, including $100,000 designated for the Maui wildfire, and $50,000 for Convoy’s Hurricane Idalia response.

UH Maui College culinary students pivot from food prep to packing produce 

Thursday mornings are particularly busy—and rewarding—for the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College’s culinary arts program purchasing class. Instructor Natasha Joslin and her seven students, along with some campus and community volunteers, pack up 200 boxes of local produce that are distributed later in the day to UH Maui College students and community members affected by the August wildfires.

Makana nō nā keiki, a toy drive and holiday experience for children impacted by the Maui fires, announced today the deadline to register keiki wish lists is Oct. 31, 2023. The website has a section for family or friends to register their keiki (ages 18 and below) with a top three wish list.  

Guy Fieri’s Chefs for Maui fundraiser collects $1.5M for Maui wildfire recovery and relief

Thirty-eight award-winning chefs, participated in The Guy Fieri Foundation’s Chefs for Maui Fundraiser in Northern California Wine Country on Oct. 21, to support disaster operations and raise money for relief supplies for Maui following the August wildfires.
