Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily activities on our farm. This role involves managing crop production, supervising farm staff, ensuring equipment maintenance, adhering to safety and environmental regulations and implementing operation improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate farm equipment and leverage real-time data to maximize existing procedures and efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections, troubleshoot problems associated with equipment, processes, andsystems.
- Participate and support with field scouting, irrigation operation, UAV program and transition to digital and precision agtools.
- Support/oversee operational activities across different areas of the operation.
- Comply with internal/external procedures and support compliance with legal requirements regarding food safety andpesticide use and handling.
- Participate and prepare to lead daily turnout meetings, articulate shift objectives and allocate resources across differentareas of the operation.
- Participate/support site opening and closing procedures.
- Support and maintain metrics and relevant crop production information.
- Support/manage inventory, sourcing and purchasing or farming supplies.
- Maintain key process documentation such as irrigation, fertility and crop protection SOP’s.
- Build knowledge and maintain operational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards.
- Cultivate partnerships with key business partners in the agriculture sector.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of IT tools such as excel, power point, word and other applicable software tools.
- Valid HI Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain state of HI Restricted Use Pesticide License
- Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
- Ability to work weekends, and overtime as business needs requires.
