Leoda's Kitchen and Pie Shop offers what we like to call glorified grandma food! Open 7 days a week and located in Olowalu, Maui, we take a unique approach to many classic or traditional favorites. Our Performance Expectations are:
The Executive Chef is responsible for the creative menu direction for their hui along with providing a story board with each special to assist in understanding our product
Oversees and participates in the training and performance of the culinary team in terms of consistency, quality and technique
Works with Food & Beverage Team to recognize menu editing opportunities based on sales and menu engineering
Updates Food Track recipes as needed
Attends and participates in pre-shifts regularly to educate FOH and BOH staff on menu and special items
Provides leadership that inspires teamwork, generates energy, enthusiasm, and drives results
Has a reputation for excellent relationships with customers, vendors, floor, kitchen staff and community
Must design, implement, and to continuously improve the systems and procedures that lead to success
Establishes and maintains good communication and a positive influence with Restaurant Managers, Front of House employees and Back of the House staff
Maintains Health & Safety standards while training and working with teams
Maintains and leads Dept of Health Sanitation practices
Actively contributes to DOR boards, and promotes with staff
Follows accounting department's expectations for timeliness and procedural accuracy
Can complete assigned and self-assigned tasks within designated timeline
Fosters a culture that relies on passports as training, and advancement tools.

Culinary experience in a management role required with a minimum of 3 years

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required to work holidays, weekends, events, and other peak periods of the restaurant business
