808 Towing has an opening available with our dispatch team!
We are a locally owned business and our workforce is constantly growing. There are three shifts to cover, seven days a week. Hours may vary, between 6am and midnight. The applicant must be available for all shift schedules.
We are an independent towing company that operates twenty-four hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. Dispatchers support our towing, roadside assistance, emergency response, and breakdown services. As a result, the dispatcher may experience pressure and should be capable of making multiple correct decisions while multitasking.
-Arrive to work 15 minutes prior to scheduled shift.
-Take incoming calls on a multi-line phone system.
-Evaluate customer situation/needs and communicate with drivers.
-Coordinate and dispatch multiple drivers.
-Keep customers up-to-date on their tow/job status and requests.
-Estimating costs of towing and roadside services for customers.
-Placing follow-up calls to previous customers for satisfaction purposes.
-Maintaining a clean and organized work space.
- MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI-TASK
-Valid Hawaii Driver’s License.
-Previous emergency call center or dispatch experience is favorable. Willing to train suitable applicant.
-Excellent computer skills in programs such as Word, Excel, Google Docs and proprietary websites.
-Excellent phone etiquette skills.
-Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and very organized.
-Desire to assist others and problem solving.
-Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
-Able to receive and communicate information accurately from the customer to drivers.
Starting Pay: $18.00 ($16.00/hr training) and up, depending on experience.
