The Position:We're looking for passionate Nurse Aides (NA) to help us with providing nursing care and services for residents, that include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.
Ohana Nurse Aides (NAs) orient residents to the unit and facility: Bathroom, call system, shower schedule, and lanai/common areas; introduces to residents at table; informs of meal schedule and snack times; and informs of activity calendar and where activities are held.
Nurse Aides (NAs) respond to resident calls, call bells, call lights, alarms immediately. Responds to family requests. Informs Charge Nurse when required.
Free Course Instruction with Full-time or Part-Time Employment:
Course instruction to commence January 2025, classes held Saturday & Sunday, Time TBD.
Duration: 100 hours, in-person instruction
Location: Hale Makua Wailuku
Course instruction provided by Healthcare Training & Career Consultants Inc.
Work as a Nurse Aide will commence following program completion at Hale Makua Kahului or Hale Makua Wailuku.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 18 by end of Nurse Aide Training Program.
Completion of Hawaii Nurse Aide Training Program.
Pass Prometric exam within 120 days of completing Nurse Aide Training Program.
Commit to one (1) year employment as a Full-time or Part-time Nurse Aide/Certified Nurse Aide.
Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house)
