#body found Maui

On Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at about 4:27 p.m., police responded to ʻĪao Valley State Park regarding the discovery of a deceased male. The man has been positively identified as Dominic Massey, 28, of Wailuku.

Maui police responded to the area of Mile Post 13.5 on Honoapiʻilani Highway in Olowalu today regarding an unresponsive male found on the shoreline.

Maui police have classified the death of a visitor as an unattended death after finding the woman lying unresponsive on the Wailuku side of the Lahaina Pali Trail.

Police say the woman has since been identified as Maile Hanson, 29, of Waiehu. Hanson’s family has been notified of her passing.

The Maui Police Department has identified the body of a woman who was found floating in the waters off of Lahaina on May 26, 2017 as Mai Vu Tran, 70, of Lahaina

Circumstances surrounding the death of a Nāpili man are unclear after police say he was found unconscious with multiple injuries to his body on Monday afternoon at his property in Honokōhau.

Police say the discovery was made in the late evening hours on Thursday, March 27, 2014, by a local hunter in the area of Twin Falls in Haʻikū, Maui.

The body is believed to be that of 24-year-old Alexandra “Sasha” V. Dunyasheva, a Russian national who was reported missing by a friend from a property she was living at in Kipahulu earlier this week.

Maui police have since identified the woman pedestrian killed in an apparent hit-and-run accident on the Kahekili Highway as Brandy Mendes, 31, of Waiehu.

Fishermen to the west of the scenic lookout below the Honoapiilani Highway reported finding a body on the rocks. Authorities believe the man had no local address.

Maui police have since identified the fisherman pulled from waters off of west Maui as Steven Ribellia, 32, of Lahaina.

TV news stations out of Baton Rouge, LA report that 57-year-old Willam Sublett was working on Maui while trying to earn his state nursing license.

Maui Police have since identified the man as William George Sublett, 57, formerly of Baton Rouge, Louisianna. Authorities have since confirmed the cause of death to be severe head trauma.

A preliminary investigation reveals the male victim, suffered multiple trauma to the head. The victim has been tentatively identified as a 57 year old Caucasian man.

Maui Police say the body of a man found in Maliko Gulch on Monday afternoon was that of a man that went missing several days earlier.
