Now in its third year, the Hawaiʻi Small Business Conference will be held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului, Maui on May 8 and 9, 2019.

The County of Maui Mayor’s Office of Economic Development today announced its free workshops for the month of February.

“Minding Your Own Business: Entrepreneurial Psychology Basics and You,” a workshop offered twice this week by Maui Economic Development Board, explored the connection between psychology and business, and spurred attendees to look inward for the keys to their own success.

Thirteen entrepreneurs graduated from the Maui Economic Opportunity Business Development Program’s Core Four Business Planning course on June 16, 2015. The students received a Certificate of Achievement and a congratulatory luncheon.

The 2nd Annual Startup Weekend Maui kicked off on Friday, May 15, with nearly 30 entrepreneurs pitching business startup ideas in front of an enthusiastic audience of 80-plus like-minded individuals at the Maui Economic Development Board’s Malcolm Center in Kīhei.

Striving to surpass last year’s ground-breaking Maui Small Business Week, organizers have lined up an abundance of sponsors, supporters, speakers and venues for the 2015 event, which will be held from May 4 through 8.

The judges, coaches and mentors who will be participating in the second “Startup Weekend Maui,” have been announced by the Maui Economic Development Board. This event will provide entrepreneurs with an opportunity to learn how to launch a company in 54 hours.

“Startup Weekend Maui,” scheduled for May 15 to 17, will be held in Kīhei at two locations within the Maui Research & Technology Park: the Maui Research and Technology Center at 590 Līpoa Parkway, and the Maui Research & Technology Center at 1305 North Holopono St.
