UHERO report: COVID-19 booster vaccinations lag as virus’ negative impacts widen
More Hawaiʻi residents are contracting COVID-19, fewer are getting COVID-19 booster shots and the number of those impacted by long-COVID illnesses remain high, according to a new comprehensive report released on Jan. 5 by researchers in the University of Hawaiʻi Economic Research Organization.
COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics Available on Maui in October
Starting Monday the Maui District Health Office, in partnership with the Hawaiʻi National Guard Maui medics will stand up regular clinics for all vaccinations (shots #1,2, 3 and boosters) throughout the month of October.
State Health Department Awaiting CDC Recommendations on Pfizer Booster Shots
The CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted on Thursday to recommend booster shots for people 65 and older and others with underlying medical conditions, but it has not said yet whether it will follow the advisory committee’s recommendations.
