DMVL opening Lahaina Satellite Office for reissuing Hawaiʻi driver’s licenses
The County of Maui Division of Motor Vehicles and Licensing’s Lahaina Satellite Office will be available beginning Wednesday, Aug. 16, to assist West Maui residents whose Hawaiʻi driver’s licenses or Hawaiʻi State Identification cards have been lost or destroyed by wildfires. The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Appointments Begin Today for Modified Driver’s Licensing Road Tests on Maui
The County of Maui Division of Motor Vehicle and Licensing will provide modified road tests beginning next week for motorists to demonstrate basic vehicle control skills and obtain their driver’s licenses. Appointments will be taken beginning today, Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020.
Gender Neutral Option Begins Today for State IDs and Drivers Licenses
A new gender option is now available for State IDs, driver’s licenses, and commercial driver’s licenses that allows the public to apply, renew, or obtain a duplicate credential and select “X” or “Not Specified” in the gender category instead of the binary “M” (Male) or “F” (Female).
Low Risk Safety Checks Can Resume May 15
The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation is coordinating the reopening of stations for Periodic Motor Vehicle Inspections (PMVI or Safety Checks) starting Friday, May 15.
