#haiku attack

On Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, between 9:30 and 10 p.m., a male was riding his bicycle on Haʻikū Road when he was confronted by another male operating a newer model white pickup truck, possibly a Toyota.  Police say the suspect exited the vehicle and struck the bicyclist with a golf club several times, causing injury. 

Authorities say the victim fell while running, at which time suspect attacked him, punching him and kicking him repeatedly. The victim suffered serious injuries

A 48-year-old homeless man was left unconscious after being chased through the parking lot of the Haʻikū Marketplace during a assault Tuesday night, Jan. 3.
