Lee A. Tonouchi named Hawaiʻi State Poet Laureate 2026-2029

Hawaiʻi Summer Reading Challenge surpasses 20,000 participants, final push to 25,000 underway

The Hawaiʻi State Public Library System announced last week that over 20,000 readers across the islands have registered for the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, overtaking last year’s total with four weeks remaining in the program.

HSPLS is relaunching its original app, and app provider ChiliFresh is working with the HSPLS to add features that patrons have grown to love – like being able to provide access to multiple library accounts.
