Marriott’s Wailea Beach Resort recently received three national hospitality awards and accolades, coinciding with its property-wide renovation and the debut of its new Signature Oceanfront Villas.

Data from Maui County shows that there were more vacation rental unit nights available in February 2024 compared to both February 2023 and February 2019 (before the pandemic). Maui County hotels reported better performance compared to last year and led the counties in March RevPAR of $228 (+18.7%), with ADR rising to $466 (+10.9%) and occupancy of 49.0 percent (+3.2 percentage points). Maui County’s March supply was 392,800 room nights (-0.3%). Maui’s luxury resort region of Wailea had RevPAR of $362 (+26.0%), with ADR at $802 (+27.2%) and occupancy of 45.2 percent (-0.5 percentage points). The Lahaina/Kāʻanapali/Kapalua region had RevPAR of $180 (+7.1%), ADR at $379 (+3.2%) and occupancy of 47.4 percent (+1.7 percentage points).

Fairmont Kea Lani will reopen on Sunday, Nov. 1 as part of the Hawaiʻi’s Safe Travels Program and will implement new operational standards to prevent the spread of viruses and pathogens, including COVID-19.

The Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority report showed Maui County with 123,100 available unit nights in August, which is a decrease of 57.9% compared to a year ago, the largest vacation rental supply in all four counties; unit demand also decreased 94.7% with 12,100 unit nights, resulting in 9.8% occupancy with an ADR of $229.

Among Hawaiʻi’s four island counties, Maui County hotels led the state overall in revenue per available room during February.

Visitors on Maui spent a total of $5.12 billion in 2019, a 3 percent rise from the year before, the Hawai’i Tourism Authority reported today. 

Hotels and vacation rentals throughout Maui County outperformed others in the state during October, the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority announced earlier this week.

Hawai‘i hotels statewide recorded the highest revenue per available room (RevPAR) and average daily rate (ADR) of the top U.S. markets in the first six months of 2018, according to the Hawai‘i Hotel Performance Report released by the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA).

“Sixty Days of Summer,” will feature dozens of activities, events and experiences at three Maui hotels.
