The Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) is opening a new exhibition that showcases work of one of the most significant artists to contribute to the movements of Dada and Surrealism in the development of modern art in the past century, Max Ernst.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center will present two solo exhibitions in Schaefer International Gallery that activate spatial potential through fiber, sculpture, and immersive installations. Chenta Laury: Adaptive Frameworks and Holly Wong: Mending Body / Mending Mind will run concurrently from Sept. 12 to Oct. 28, 2023. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Starting on Wednesday, Feb. 1, ARTwalk at The Shops at Wailea has a new time from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second level surrounding the art galleries.

The opening exhibit will highlight large-scale hand sculpted wood carvings by Taani Tasini Lavaka who was born and raised in the Island Kingdom of Tonga…

The Hui No‘eau will hold an opening reception for Voyaging: A Themed Exhibition on Friday, May 20, from 5 to 7p.m.
