Nāpili Kai Foundation awards $52,000 in scholarships to local students

The Nāpili Kai Foundation has awarded $52,000 in higher education scholarships to 11 recipients this year, continuing its long-standing tradition of supporting local students pursuing college degrees.

Hula O Na Keiki competition returns to Maui, Nov. 8-9

17th Annual Kū Mai Ka Hula competition at the MACC, Sept. 14

Kū Mai Ka Hula (“Hula Appears”) returns to the Castle Theater for its 17th annual event Sept. 14 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) as Maui’s premier annual competition – and Maui’s only adult hula competition. A related presentation and discussion, The Uluwehi Project, will take place Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the MACC’s McCoy Studio Theater. 2024 Emma Farden Sharpe Hula Festival, Aug. 17

The 2024 Emma Farden Sharpe Hula Festival takes place on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center. The event features free keiki activities, workshops, Hawaiʻi made artisans and hula accompanied by Hawaiian music.
