The Nature Conservancy first purchased statewide coral reef insurance in 2022. The new policy doubles the area covered – as well as the minimum payout following a damaging hurricane or tropical storm.

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) has $14.9 million in grant funds now available to organizations that intend to help Native Hawaiians in 12 categories, including health, education, housing and economic stability.
