Maui County Quality of Life Survey reveals best and worst thing about life on the Valley Isle

When asked about the worst thing about life in the County, the top response was Economy and Cost of Living (40%), followed by Social and Population Issues (19%) and Infrastructure and Services (16%).

County Planning Department conducting quality of life survey 

The County of Maui Department of Planning is conducting a quality of life survey to assist in assessing residentsʻ opinions on core themes and topics identified in Maui County’s General Plan. The survey will cover general aspects of quality of life and resident satisfaction, not immediate needs related to the August 2023 fires and resulting economic recovery. 

Public input sought for future transportation projects on Maui

The Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking public input as it develops a list of transportation projects to be prioritized. A list of projects will be vetted and added in its TIP or Transportation Improvement Program, a document to help facilitate federal funding for Maui.
