Seabury Hall captured the inaugural Division II state championship in mixed canoe paddling on Saturday at Keʻehi Lagoon, winning a tightly contested final at the Hawaiʻi High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) Canoe Paddling Championships.

Maui’s Myla Tuitele of Kamehameha-Maui was among the athletes selected as members of the Division I All-Tournament Team for the Hele HHSAA Girls Soccer State Championships.

Seabury Hall Performing Arts will present Common Ground Dance Festival VII, a two-night celebration of youth-based movement arts, on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30 and 31, 2026, at 7 p.m. Performances will take place at the ʻAʻaliʻikūhonua Creative Arts Center on the Seabury Hall campus.

Despite playing without the only returning starter from last season’s state championship, the Spartans swept Hāna and improved to 19-2 overall and 9-0 in MIL Division II play.

The Seabury Hall Performing Arts Department proudly presents “Junie B. Jones The Musical Jr.,” a lively and heartwarming adaptation of Barbara Park’s beloved best-selling book series. To date, the program has awarded more than $81,000 in scholarships to Maui, Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i students who have displayed a passion for returning to Maui County after college to contribute to the community.

Oregon State University started the tournament, involving four teams, in 2016 and it has been played every year since with the exception of 2020 when it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Seniors Finn Hensley and Ava Kreusling, both members of Seabury Hall’s Class of 2026, were celebrated by classmates, faculty, coaches, friends, and family as they signed National Letters of Intent to compete in NCAA Division I athletics.

The Maui Classic, one of the premier women’s basketball tournaments in the nation, returns to Maui for its 9th annual event on Dec. 19–20, 2025.

Seabury Hall will host the sixth annual Seabury Hall-iday on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at its campus in Makawao. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Maui United Way’s toy drive.

Saturday night’s second-place finish felt different than 2007, 2012 or 2014 when Seabury Hall was also the Division II state runner-up; the Spartans fought back from two sets down to force a fifth set that came down to the wire before bowing to Kapa’a of the Kauai Interscholastic Federation.

Seabury Hall’s independently organized TEDx event, “Power & Purpose, ” will be held at the school’s ʻAʻaliʻikūhonua Creative Arts Center on Sunday, Nov. 2, from noon to 2 p.m. 

Seabury Hall invites the Maui community to welcome the fall season with “Echoes of Autumn,” a lively concert featuring the school’s talented music students in grades 5–12. The performances will highlight Seabury Hall’s jazz band, concert band, percussion, ʻukulele ensembles and choirs.

Fourteen Seabury Hall students have earned the AP Capstone Diploma and six students have earned the AP Seminar and Research Certificate during the 2024-25 school year.

Seabury Hall 2021 graduate Ella Connor, who became a beach volleyball All-American at Cal Poly, struggled with panic attacks and attempted to take her life twice but is now doing “amazing” with help from her four-legged companion.
