Bank of Hawai‘i today announced that University of Hawai‘i’s iconic sports venue has been renamed Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

Seabury Hall was 28-4 overall (28-1 against Hawai’i teams) and all of its wins were by at least 10 points, as the Spartans rolled to the Division II state championship.

The Allstate Maui Invitational, the nation’s early-season college basketball tournament, KemperSports, and the college basketball community have rallied to raise $1.7 million for Maui wildfire relief and recovery efforts. 

The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority and the Big West announced a multi-year renewal of a wide-ranging partnership that will bring three championship volleyball events to the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa on O‘ahu over the next three years.

All Tournament ticket-only packages and limited booster ticket-only packages for the 2023 Maui Invitational are now officially on sale and can be purchased online.

This year’s Maui Invitational will shift to the island of Oʻahu while its traditional home court – the Lahaina Civic Center – continues to serve as a critical hub for Maui wildfire recovery efforts. The 2023 Tournament will take place at the Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa from Nov. 20 to 22. 

The California Hotel in downtown Las Vegas made a $450,000 pledge to the UH Athletics Dept for the volleyball court naming rights of the Stan Sheriff Center.
