Largest intern cohort in STEMworks program history completes summer internships

This summer, the Maui Economic Development Board’s (MEDB) STEMworks program welcomed its largest cohort of interns to date. A total of 89 high school and college students from across the state participated—64 in the STEMworks Innovation Internship program, and 25 in the Maui County Agriculture Business and Technology program. 

Hale Makua Food Service Summer Internship offers $2,000 stipend to program graduates

Hale Makua is currently accepting applications for its new Food Service Summer Internship. The program runs for six to eight weeks through July 2023, and interns will receive a $2,000 stipend upon successful completion. Applications will be accepted until June 16.

Mahi Pono accepting applications for summer internship program

Mahi Pono, a Maui farming company that owns and operates 41,000 acres in Central Maui, is now accepting applications for its Summer Internship Program. Native Hawaiian and Hawaiʻi students interested in STEM can apply for UH program

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is recruiting Native Hawaiian and Hawaiʻi students entering 9th through 12th grades on Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and the Big Island for a free one-year program called Project Hōkūlani.
