War Memorial Complex Hosts Four Events This Saturday

A total of four community events are taking place at the Maui County War Memorial Sports Complex this Saturday, April 30, including: the Troy Barboza Torch Run, the Battle of the Badges football game, the 1st Annual Maui County Carnival, and a candlelight vigil ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, May 3

The 2.3 mile run and 1.7 mile walk is dedicated in honor of Officer Troy Barboza, a Honolulu police officer who was killed in the line of duty shortly after his 24th birthday in October 1987.

Torch Run Proceeds Benefit Special Olympics Maui

All proceeds from the entry fees and sales of t-shirts will go to the Special Olympics Maui to help the athletes on the islands of Maui, Molokaʻi, and Lanaʻi.
