Maui Flood Advisory posted until 4:30 p.m., Dec. 31

At 1:26 p.m., radar showed heavy rain over both the north and south slopes of Haleakalā that was falling at a rate of 1-2 inches per hour. The pubic can expect rising streams over windward Haleakalā and water flowing in previously dry gulches around and west of Kīpahulu.

Flood Advisory for Maui Until 12:15 p.m.

A rain gauge in Lahainaluna just recorded a half inch of rain in 15 minutes, according to the NWS.

BRIEF: Wind Advisory Canceled for Maui County

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has cancelled the wind advisory for Maui County.

Henriette Weakens to a Remnant Low

Henriette has weakened to a post-tropical remnant low, ending the forecast advisories issued by the Central Pacific Hurricane Center for the system.

Maui Black Friday Flood Advisory

Forecasters say radar at 3:44 p.m. showed a thunderstorm with heavy rain near Ulupalakua, or about 19 miles south of Kahului. The area of rain was moving South at about 5 miles per hour.
