Road Advisory: 6th Annual Pedal Imua takes place Saturday morning

The Pedal Imua committee is alerting motorists to be aware of cyclists on the road on Saturday, Dec. 6, leaving from Imua Family Services near Queen Kaʻahumanu Center in Kahului and looping around the West Maui Mountains.

May Rainfall Summary: First month of 2024 ‘dry’ season impacts rainfall on Maui

The May 2024 Hawaiʻi Rainfall Summary report shows that Maui County once again had a wide range of rainfall conditions during the month of May. Most of the gauges along the windward slopes had near to above average rainfall, and most of the leeward sites had below average rainfall.

Family of Missing Maui Man, Noah “Kekai” Mina, Continues Search

“There’s no water up there,” said Vincent Mina.  Earlier in the search crews found the missing man’s slippers at around the 2500 foot level.  At the suggestion of firefighters, crews left water and food at the site, but checks of the area show nothing has been disturbed or taken since.

Community Support Sought in Search for Noah “Kekai” Mina

Community support is sought to fund helicopters for the ongoing air search. The family met with rescuers involved with the successful return of Amanda Eller.
