Taco Tuesdays at Leilani’s: Happy Hour with a Cause
By Erica Garza
There are plenty of reasons to be happy on Tuesdays thanks to Leilani’s version of Happy Hour. The Whaler’s Village eatery, and member of TS Restaurants, not only offers Tecate, Margaritas and Tacos for $4, but a portion of the proceeds goes to the Legacy of Aloha program.
The Legacy of Aloha program was created in 2007 to help fund community organizations of Maui that strive to keep local kids out of trouble, protect the environment, and perpetuate the water sports that islanders love.
Every Tuesday from 3:00pm—5:00pm, guests can enjoy their drink of choice and a la carte tacos with the following fillings: Cajun Rubbed Ono, Roast Pork with Tobacco Onions, Diced Chicken Breast, or Fresh Avocado and Black Beans. All tacos come with shredded cabbage, cheese, handcrafted habanero pico de gallo and Leilani’s famous taco sauce. Chips and Pico are also just $4.
Don’t worry if you have another favorite already picked out from the Leilani’s menu, because regular menu items are also served during Happy Hour. And every other day besides Tuesday features a Signature Slider Menu for Happy Hour, with tempting items like crab cakes, curried chicken, Kalua pork and more.
Leilani’s is located at Whaler’s Village on Ka’anapali Beach and offers panoramic views of the ocean and nearby islands Molokai and Lanai. The restaurant feautures a full bar, casual dining downstairs and a dining room area serving steaks and seafood. Leilani’s is also known for its enormous dessert, the Kimo’s Original Hula Pie, made from chocolate cookie pie crust, macadamia nut ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and chopped mac nuts. Here’s to a great Tuesday.
