Hawaii Medical Journal Call for Entries

A call for entries has been issued for a special addition of the Hawaii Medical Journal – A Journal of Asia Pacific Medicine – for entries addressing Hawaii’s Healthcare Workforce.

Journal’s aim is to provide new, scientific information in a scholarly manner with a focus on the unique, multicultural and environmental aspects of the Hawaiian Islands and the Pacific Rim region.

The Hawaii Medical Journal was founded in 1941 by the Hawaii Medical Association (HMA) which was incorporated in 1856 under the Hawaiian Monarchy.

The Hawaii Medical Journal is a peer reviewed Journal published by the University Clinical, Educational and Research Associates (UCERA).

Articles can address topics such as assessment of supply and demand of  healthcare providers,  characteristics of the provider pool; interventions for developing the workforce; the impact of programs designed to improve access to care and any other topics relevant to the subject.

The articles should follow the HMJ Guidelines and be submitted to Dr. Kelley Withy at [email protected] by May 1, 2011 to undergo peer review.
