Maui Firefighter Promoted to Hazardous Materials Specialist

The Maui Department of Fire and Public Safety today announced the promotion of Greg Shinyama to the rank of Firefighter II Hazardous Materials Specialist.

Shinyama is a nine year veteran of the department, having spent time at the Hāna, Wailea, and Kahului Fire Stations.

His promotion took effect on May 16, 2014.

Shinyama will carry out his new assignment with the HazMat 10 “C” Watch, at the Kahului Fire Station.
