More than 700 individuals attended the 42nd Annual Kupuna Luncheon held over the weekend in South Maui.

The event, held July 26, at the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa featured entertainment by Darren Lee as “Elvis” from the Burn’n Love show in Lahaina.

The annual event is a joint effort between the Maui County Planning and Coordinating Council and Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc..

The Maui County Planning and Coordinating Council represents more than 60 senior citizen clubs and includes more than 1,700 members. Throughout the year, Maui Economic Opportunity provides meeting space for the coordinating council meetings, and acts as a liaison for seniors, assisting them with advocacy and education.

The annual event is made possible through club fundraising activities, ticket sales and donations.
