CA Woman Arrested on Lānaʻi for Alleged Theft From Hotel and Airline

A California woman was arrested for allegedly stealing $750 worth of hotel items from the Lodge at Kōʻele on Lānaʻi, and being in possession of a computer belonging to Hawaiian Airlines at the Lānaʻi Airport, police said.

Sally Gracia, 37, of Upland, California, was arrested and charged with second degree theft at around 12:48 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014.

Police say the arrest stemmed from an investigation which revealed that upon leaving the Four Seasons property, the woman allegedly removed hotel items worth an estimated value of $750 from the resort.

Police say all of the items were recovered and returned to the hotel.

Later the same morning, at around 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, Gracia was arrested and charged again, on separate second degree theft charges.

Police say an investigation revealed that Gracia allegedly was found in possession of a stolen computer belonging to Hawaiian Airlines worth an estimated value of $1,500.

Police say she was allegedly found in possession of the item after checking in two bags with the airlines.

The woman was initially released after posting $1,000 bail in the first case; and was released a second time after posting $5,000 bail in the second case.
