Maui Paint & Pūpū Parties Launch in Lahaina
A new opportunity for residents and visitors to create their own Maui art is coming to Lahaina’s Pioneer Inn.
Anita Marci Studios has teamed up with Pioneer Inn General Manager Mark Guerrera to present the hotel’s first Maui Paint Parties starting on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
Adults and children 14 and over are invited to enjoy sunset, drinks, pūpū and painting in a festive party-style atmosphere at the inn’s Grill and Bar every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the restaurant area.
No experience is necessary and all materials are included; bring only your creativity and your desire for fun. Canvases, acrylic paint, brushes, palettes and aprons will be provided—everything you need to make your masterpiece.
An original Maui-inspired painting by Anita Marci will be featured every evening. Marci has earned nearly 50 awards during her prestigious 30-year art career, including the “Top Emerging Artist Award” from Art Business News Magazine.
A Maui resident since January 2003, Marci has taught at the Art School at Kapalua, Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center, Ritz- Carlton, Kapalua and the Maui Marriott Resort and Ocean Club.
Marci has 10 years of teaching experience here and in New York. She returns to teaching after a nine-year hiatus.
”I have always enjoyed teaching and painting is such a great way to connect with your inner artist while also connecting with this beautiful island,” Marci said. “Our guests will take home their very own Maui memories in a painting.”
Food and beverages may be purchased.
Parties are $60 per person. A kama‘āina discounted price of $50 is offered with the presentation of a valid Hawai‘i State ID upon check-in.
Advance reservations are required and must be made at http://www.anitatheartist.com/parties.
