Maui Kumu Hula Uluwehi Guerrero and his Hālau Hula Kauluokalā will perform at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

The show, entitled “Ka Hoʻoilina: The Legacy” is presented by Kaulupono Music, and features music by Guerrero, who is a multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, and his hālau.

The performace celebrates and shares the legacy and pride of the Hawaiian culture in concert.

Tickets are $35, $45, and $55, plus applicable fees, and are available by calling 242-SHOW (7469), or visiting the Maui Arts & Cultural Center website.

Leon Russell: Wednesday, Sept. 17, Castle Theater, 7:30 p.m. Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, music legend, and cultural icon Leon Russell gets back to the Islands on his “Life Journey Tour” to promote his new release. The new album follows The Union, his 2010 hit duet CD with Elton John.  Leon Russell favorites include “Back To The Island,” “Hummingbird,” “Tight Rope,” “A Song For You,” “Roll Away The Stone,” “Lady Blue,” and “This Masquerade.” Tickets are $45, $50, and $60.

Kumu Kahua Theatre: “Koi Like The Fish”: Friday to Saturday, Sept. 19 to 20, McCoy Studio, 7:30 p.m.  This encore performance was originally produced by Keali‘iwahine Hokoana at the MACC in 2008.  The play is described as a “timeless family drama” that takes a realistic look at the problems encountered when families live together.  The story focuses on Uncle Koi, an ailing uncle, who encounters tension when his niece, her husband and their child move in to offer care.  He ends up finding friendship in the woman who delivers the mail. Tickets are free.

Ron White: Friday, Sept. 19, Castle Theater, 7:30 p.m.  Comedian Ron “Tater Salad” White first rose to fame as on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. White is now a chart-topping Grammy-nominated comedian and feature film actor.  He tells real-life stories of growing up in a small Texas town and daily life as a comedian. All four of his comedy albums charted #1 on the Billboard Comedy Charts, and he is rated as one of the top three stand-up comedians on tour in America. Tickets are $45, $55, and $65.
