Multi-Level Marketing, Myth or Moneymaker

“Multi-Level Marketing – Myth or Moneymaker?” is presented on Thursday, Feb 26 from Noon to 1 p.m. Everyone wants extra income, early retirement and to become independently wealthy. The question is how. Many people become intrigued by business offerings of muli-level or network marketing. The FTC defines Multilevel marketing businesses or plans, also known as “network” or “matrix” marketing, as a way of selling goods or services through distributors. These plans typically promise that if you sign up as a distributor, you will receive commissions — for both your sales of the plan’s goods or services and those of other people you recruit to join the distributors. However, some enthusiasts go overboard in promising the way to get rich quick. This course, taught by Lia Kay Barrad, marketing expert, will help you understand what is involved in creating a successfully business and how to avoid scams. Workshop is held at the Maui County Business Resource Center
