Mama’s Fish House Restaurant & Inn wins triple honors

A longtime north shore eatery continues to garner accolades for its fine fish and seafood menu.  Mama’s Fish House, located just west of Hookipa Beach Park, was recognized with two Gold awards-for “Most ‘Maui-est'” and “Best Seafood”-and a Silver award for “Restaurant of the Year” at the 2010 ‘Aipono Awards Gala held recently in Kapalua.

Sponsored by Maui No Ka Oi magazine, the ‘Aipono Awards annually recognize the best of Maui’s food, wine and hospitality industries. ‘Aipono is Hawaiian for “excellence in food.” Winners were selected by Maui No Ka Oi readers with proceeds from the actual event benefiting the Maui Culinary Academy.

Mama’s Fish House prides itself on cuisine prepared from the freshest ingredients. Located on the secluded beach at Ku’au on Maui’s North Shore, the restaurant was founded 36 years ago by Floyd and Doris Christenson.
