Thanks to a collaboration between Paia Yoga and lululemon athletica, a tight budget is no longer a barrier to experiencing the numerous health benefits of yoga. On Sundays from 5:30-6pm, Paia Yoga will host a free community yoga class supported by the lululemon Maui showroom, Paia’s new yoga and athletic wear boutique. This “vinyasa flow” class is suitable for all levels and is taught by lululemon ambassadors, representing some of Maui’s best yoga teachers.

Paia Yoga is the heart of Maui's North Shore Yoga Community

Paia Yoga Founder Abigail Perrin states, “We are thrilled to have lululemon support this free community class and contribute to our diverse range of class offerings. My goal when opening Paia Yoga was to provide a space where everyone can experience the benefits of yoga in a safe and supportive environment. lululemon’s gift allows us to achieve our vision by increasing yoga’s accessibility to a broader range of the community while upholding a high standard of quality instruction.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, proven benefits of yoga include stress reduction, increased fitness, and management of chronic health conditions such as cancer, depression, pain, anxiety, and high blood pressure. It is also proven to aid in weight loss. “Vinyasa flow” incorporates breathing, meditation, and a series of yoga poses that that run together in a fluid sequence connected to breath. A range of balancing, strengthening, and stretching poses make up the practice.
