The Maui Tea Party will host a “Taxed Enough Already” Rally on Tax Day, Friday, April 15, 2011.
The 2nd Annual Boston Tea Party event will run from 2-6 p.m. at Ho’aloha Park near the shoreline of Kahului Harbor.
A similar Tax Day Rally is planned by the Honolulu Tea Party at the State Capitol from 4-7 p.m, April 15. The event will include speeches from national Tea Party speaker and author Kimberly Fletcher, State Sen. Sam Slom, City Councilman Tom Berg, anti-rail activist Cliff Slater, former mayoral candidate Panos Prevedorous, Rep. Gene Ward, and others.
The Honolulu group issued a statement today saying, “The citizens of Hawai’i are threatened to be overwhelmed by a tsunami of taxes.”
In both rallies, members will be speaking out against additional taxes and spending.
